Legacy Landing - Past & Present

Welcome to our Hoover Beach Legacy Landing, where we honor past and present Hoover Beachers for their volunteerism, contributions to the infrastructure and governing, beautification and planning, fundraising and growth, community life and sustainability of our little piece of America.  We invite you to suggest names of past/present members you'd like to recognize in this way, along with some information about them and even a photo if you have one! Hoover Beach has been blessed with the spirit of community and generosity set forth by Art Hoover from the very beginning. Carrying that legacy forward will always be our greatest strength.

Please feel free to nominate a present or past resident by filling out their information with a picture (optional) at the link below

2025 Bill and Rose Sanetz

Bill and Rose Sanetz became Hoover Beach residents in 1962. Together, they were responsible for organizing and running many of the activities that made Hoover Beach such a special place to live and grow up in. Their summer picnic games and prizes were spectacular including saw-dust hunts for coins, greased pole climbing competitions, baby piglet chases and so much more.  At Christmas time the arrival of Santa Claus was made more special by the wooden reindeer that Bill and the neighborhood guys cutout, painted and affixed to their snowmobiles, including a red light for Rudolf and with Bill often playing the role of Santa! Bill was a behind the scenes guy who was always available to lend a neighbor a hand or two! Rose served as the treasurer of Hoover Beach for over 40 years and was a strong advocate for promoting and protecting the Hoover Beach Corporation and its members.
